Destin was hopping on Saturday for eggs and the bunny

Children came out by the hundreds for the annual Easter Egg Hunt at Morgan Sports Center on Saturday. There were 12,000 plastic eggs filled with candy and prizes divided among all the fields for the various age groups.

They came by the hundreds, some dressed in their “Sunday best” while others came in shorts and T-shirts, but all came with a basket or bucket in hand and ready to scoop up as many eggs as possible at the annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Morgan Sport Center on Saturday.

The egg hunt was divided into age groups from crawlers, toddlers, and all the way up to 10- to 12-year-olds.

Parks and Recreation Director Lisa Firth said they had 12,000 plastic eggs filled with candy and prizes divided among all the fields for the various age groups to scoop up.

Even the crawlers got in on the Easter Egg hunt on Saturday. They had a chance to crawl around on a padded floor for their eggs.

The annual Easter Egg Hunt at Morgan Sports Center was divided into age categories.

In addition to the egg hunt, the Easter Bunny was on hand for photo opportunities with the children. There was also a live bunny for the children to pet and baby chicks for them name as well.
