They came by the hundreds, some dressed in their “Sunday best” while others came in shorts and T-shirts, but all came with a basket or bucket in hand and ready to scoop up as many eggs as possible at the annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Morgan Sport Center on Saturday.
The egg hunt was divided into age groups from crawlers, toddlers, and all the way up to 10- to 12-year-olds.
Parks and Recreation Director Lisa Firth said they had 12,000 plastic eggs filled with candy and prizes divided among all the fields for the various age groups to scoop up.
In addition to the egg hunt, the Easter Bunny was on hand for photo opportunities with the children. There was also a live bunny for the children to pet and baby chicks for them name as well.
