Week 6: Reissue wins big in Destin coed softball league
Jose Otero pounded out three hits to lead Reissue in a 17-5 win over My Destin Beach Vacation in the city of Destin’s Coed Softball League at Morgan Sports Center.
Otero blasted a three-run homer in the bottom of the fifth for a walk-off victory with a 12-run lead over My Destin Beach. Otero also connected for a triple and a single in the game.

Reissue stepped out to a 6-1 lead in the first two innings. By the end of four, they were up 14-5. In the top of the fifth, Reissue held My Destin Beach scoreless and then scored the three runs needed for a run-ruling on the game.
DJ White hit two doubles and a single for three RBIs for Reissue. Chandler Ciereszewski connected for two doubles and a single, Kristin Myers hit two singles and Ruben Prieto hit a two-run homer.
Michelle Corrigan led My Destin Beach with two singles. Bobby Griffith and Matt Wright each had one single.
Soundside Watersports 27, Kekambas 14
After three innings of play, Soundside was up 11-0. In the top of the fourth, Soundside added four runs.
Kekambas finally got on the board in the bottom of the fourth with five runs.

In the fifth, Soundside scored two and Kekambas answered with four.
Soundside finished the game strong, scoring the 10-run limit in the top of the sixth. Kekambas put five on the board in the bottom. Soundside won 27-14.
Josh Barnes led Soundside with a home run, triple and a double for four RBIs. Hannah Machado connected for three singles for an RBI, and Jorge Guerrero hit three singles and a double for two RBIs. Davy Bazylak belted a home run.
Ricardo Romairez knocked in seven RBIs for Kekambas on two singles, a triple and an inside-the-park home run. Summer Sullivan doubled and singled for two RBIs, Danny Sullivan hit two singles, and Jake Rosairo knocked an inside-the-park grand slam.
The Rejects 16, Green Air 4
The Rejects dominated on the diamond to put Green Air away in five innings. At the end of two innings, The Rejects were up 12-1. The Rejects scored one more in the third and three in the fourth.
Green Air scored one run in the first and three in the fourth.
Joe Feltner led The Rejects with three singles and three RBIs. Jesse Santos doubled and hit two singles for two RBIs, Tanner Fittes hit two doubles for three RBIs, and Kalina Matos singled.
Trevor Violette doubled and singled for two RBIs for Green Air. Chandler Clements doubled and singled for an RBI and Josh Shankland connected for two singles.
Pitch Please 22, Fudpuckers 10
The first four innings of play was close with Pitch Please leading 5-3 at the end of two and then Fudpuckers on top 10-8 by the end of four.
The difference in the game came in the bottom of the fifth when Pitch Please exploded for 10 runs. They picked up four more in the sixth to put the game away.
Gabe Acosta smacked two inside-the-park homers and a double for five RBIs for Pitch Please. Eden Yanez pounded an inside-the-park homer and two doubles for five RBIs, and Ereka Winters hit two singles for two RBIs.
Destinee Degreat knocked in three runs for Fudpuckers on a triple and two singles. Kayla Faulkner and John Faulkner each connected for three singles.
